Your First Visit

What to Expect When You Come to Bloom for the First Time

Your First Visit

We understand that visiting a new clinic – especially for a sensitive health matter – can feel a little daunting. We want you to know exactly what to expect so that you arrive feeling at ease.

Before Your Appointment

Confirmation

Once your appointment is booked, you will receive a confirmation by SMS, WhatsApp, or Email – depending on your preference. This will include your appointment date, time, specialist’s name, and any specific instructions relevant to your visit.

What to bring:

  • Your national ID or passport
  • Any previous medical records, test results, or scan reports relevant to your concern
  • A list of any medications you are currently taking – including supplements
  • Your insurance card or pre-authorisation letter if applicable
  • Any questions you want to ask your specialist – we encourage you to write them down

Arriving

Please aim to arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This allows our reception team to register you, complete any necessary paperwork, and ensure your consultation starts on time.

At Reception

Our reception team will welcome you, confirm your details, and guide you through any registration forms. All information you provide is strictly confidential and used solely for the purpose of your care at Bloom.

You will be shown to our waiting area – a calm, comfortable space – until your specialist is ready to see you.

Your Consultation

Your specialist will begin by taking a thorough history – asking about your current concern, your medical background, your lifestyle, and any relevant family history. Please be as open and honest as possible. Everything you share is protected by complete medical confidentiality.

Depending on the nature of your visit, your consultation may also include a physical examination, on-site tests, or referrals for further investigations. Your specialist will explain everything they are doing and why, and will walk you through their findings and recommendations clearly before you leave.

No question is too small or too sensitive. We encourage you to ask everything on your mind.

After Your Consultation

Before you leave, our team will:

  • Provide you with a summary of the consultation and any findings
  • Issue prescriptions, referral letters, or investigation requests where needed
  • Schedule any follow-up appointments
  • Answer any remaining questions you have

You will leave Bloom with a clear understanding of your health status, next steps, and how to reach us if anything comes up before your next visit.
